Overview:  In December 2005 and June 2006 respectively Gales undertook survey's of the Tweed Coast and the Tweed Shire, to ask residents whether they supported a new District Centre at Chinderah.  Both survey results showed an overwhelming positive response in favor of a District Centre at Chinderah.  For more on the survey's and survey results, please click here.

Overview:  The owners of the prime agricultural land at Cudgen entered into an undisclosed deal with a major supermarket chain and others with plans for a major residential and retail development.  The media exposed this undisclosed deal which involved an ex-Mayor of Tweed Shire Council.
